''By the Seaside, 1944''

"MSW crew-mate Alec Cap (bigal07) shares a fine gallery of images of his latest diorama, "By the seaside, 1944", in this "On Display" Feature!"

This is my 1-700 Skywave diorama that I call ''By the seaside''...some time ago I wondered, that during Normandy, where were the LST actually held before the invasion?

I found the answer documented in film...around the South Coast of England, and on the 1st of June 1944, the black and white photograph was taken at Brixham which is in Devon. It is now a very well known holiday spot, which held this little secret, I have tried to copy to my best the B/W photo, and to build and show this in my diorama.
