"MSW crew-mate Chuck Bauer (DieselDog) shares a fine gallery of images of his build of French Battleship Richelieu, in this "On Display" feature!"
The French Battleship Richelieu is the only battleship that fought on both sides of WWII. She suffered battle damage early in the war at the hands of the British, which was repaired at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. At the same time she received a general upgrade which included her secondary armament.
This model shows the Richelieu as she appears on October 10, 1943 departing the USA, headed back into the war to fight for the Allies.
The model is Trumpeter's 1/350 scale kit. I built it pretty much out of the box with the exception of the railings and rigging. I used Tamiya spray paints and Model Master enamels. Not a spectacular build by any means but I think the subject is elegant.

Hooray for another Richelieu build in the same week! This is a nice, clean depiction.
