"MSW crew-mate Antonio Marranita (tmarranita) shares his latest scratch-build with us, this time, he tackles the Soviet Armored River Monitor in this MSW Build Story!"

I'm back to plastic, and for the second time, naval project!

Editor note- Click HERE to check out Antonio's first Naval scratch-build on MSW!

Lately my interest in soviet river monitors has grown, and before I undertake a real big project, I gave this small boat a try... and by now it has been going quite nice.

Here are images and drawings of the original BK...

About Antonio Marranita (tmarranita)
FROM: PORTO, PORTUGAL

I'm a portuguese kit builder, having started with planes since I was 16... stopped between 2000 and 2006, but something made me start cutting plastic again. Restarted with AFV's, but now I just can't stop building things from scratch, from armored trains to submarines.

Hi António! As usual, top notch scratch building, great construction and detailing! You need to practice a little bit more on the weathering, so that it's not that uniform, but you're on the right path, or should I say... course Parabéns!! Cheers, Rui

I always love seeing scratchbuild features and this one is no exception. The attention to detail, the patience to install all those rivets, and that wonderful Hotchkiss deck gun make this one a standout. Beautiful work all round! --Karl
