"MSW crew-mate Somboon Vongveeranonchai (eddiev200) shares a fine gallery of images of his build of Russian Kilo Class Submarine, "S-63 Sindhurakshak", in this On Display Feature!"

Model Kit Used-Hobby Boss 1/700 scale, Kilo Class Russian Navy, #87002

This was a straightforward kit to build...This is a good quality kit and I've had fun building it in 3 variants...Nice little kit!

The detail and the fit of the hull was good, but needs a little sanding work there.

I used Mr.Color for "Engine Grey" and "Rusty" for the upper and lower hull, an after that, weathering with oil color.

Another great Kilo, Somboon! They are really good kits and full of potential - you need to try and make one waterline or in a diorama A note for you and others making the Hobby Boss 1/700 subs full hull is to replace the kit propeller/screw part with PE ones (Rusty White has a 1/700 PE set). These will be much more realistic than the chunky thick parts (*1) Congratulations Cheers, Rui (*1): I discovered this too late for my Akula dio and I have no affiliation or financial interest with Rusty White and his products... just sharing!

Considering the scale of these (what do you call them - submarine or boat) wonderful looking projects, you've done a very good paint job on all of them, I would like to have seen some close-up pix though. Thank you for sharing.

I do agree, very nice! Al, a submarine is called a boat.
