USS Idaho...

HP Models 1:700 scale USS Idaho was the base for this project.

Kostas stated, "The kit has many errors plus it is wrong in the shape of several features of the ship , like the bow area, the second deck level, the shape of the superstructure, and probably the overall measurements, but this was what I was given to work with, so I did my best to correct as many flaws as possible. The dark color as one can tell from the pictures, which I had a very hard time to get, is very effective in blending the ship with the sea surface and giving the Kamikaze planes a target to aim at, when coming down from altitude."

You can say that again, Jim! Apart from the usual quality of Kostas works, what amazes me most (also) is the speed!! Kostas builds more models in one month with top quality, than I build in a year! Keep up Kostas!!!! Cheers Rui
