The Dio...
This is Scharnhorst, 1939, built in 1/700 scale from the Tamiya kit and adding the Flyhawk set. She is shown giving honors to the returning U-47 , on return from the sinking of Royal Oak at Scapa flow .Comments
Nice work!
I like the use of a light gray on the U47 - otherwise the boat and weathering would simply have vanished in the sea ..

Amazing realism in this scale.
Delightful as always to see another work of Mr Katseas.
The flyhawk Scharnhorst kit must be better than Lionroar's one then?

It's always a treat to see a diorama with a real story built in. The only way to top off this magnificent example would be to replicate it in 1:72! --Karl

The Scharnhorst in 1/72nd scale That made my brain hurt..................
Mrs. Gremlin56 would murder me if I came home with a couple of meters of Scharnhorst
