HMS Warspite: The Grand Old Lady...

Kostas built this Academy Warspite 1/350 with some generic etch ,a few plasticard improvements , and some brass 20 mm.

He told me when he got his hands on the kit he had to finish her.

Kostas, I think you have set a modeling world record for swiftest production of a new kit diorama! The setting shows off the kit's features to advantage, and I like the touch with the pale gray sky--it compliments the sea state exactly. The manufacturer should buy a license of this dio for advertising. --Karl

Wonderful work, as always. I like your technique here (as you've done on other ship builds in ocean settings) of having the bow low, plowing through the waves. It brings life the display.

Just love this Warspite diorama, but forgive me for saying, what a waste if this is one day owned by one person, this should have pride of place in a naval museum where everyone can see it, but busniess is business. If you were back in London and at the Hendon show, you'd be beating them off with a stick as I am sure they'd be so many people snapping away with their camera.
