USS Wilmington PG-8...
My latest build, the Combrig 1/700 USS Wilmington PG-8, that I bought from Freetime Hobbies. It's a really nice kit and has some PE with it, although no railings. I used brass rod for the upper mast, Gold Medal Ultra railings, and Floquil and Testors paints. I painted the bow crest with Alclad Polished Brass and used caenis line and stretched sprue for the rigging. A great kit that goes together very nicely.

Hi Bob,
Beautiful build!
One question: why did navies paint the superstructure ochre back then? I've seen it on a few nationalities -- how prevalent was it?
