USS Wasp

kostas katseas shares with us some images of one of his latest builds the 1/700 Corsair Armada USS Wasp. Kostas wanted to try something a bit different so he added a few vehicles from L'Arsenals line of excellent 1/700 resin vehicles , a couple army B-25's , and some supplies, all going to a distant base somewhere.

Great build and great subject. You know carriers did this duty but you never see images of it, much less build subjects.

Interesting and different is good! Another beauty. The sea and ship colourings relate very nicely.

A very nice job. Couldn't nit pick even if I wanted too. This is the first ferrying aircraft carrier I have ever seen. Pic's are around but hard to come by, and as I said, the first one modeled. The pic's I have are of ferrying aircraft. The Bitish sent a few ferriers through the straights of Gibralter and took a pounding, but the reinforcement of the Middle East was a success. The U.S. Navy did the same in the pacific. Anyway, it was an enjoyable time going through the pic's. Kostas Katseas, you have done justice to the ship, the aircraft, the cargo and personel. As to the ocean, outstanding work. One of these days I hope my water will mimick your skills. Another to be proud of. bob d.
