IJN Cruiser Myoko

Anthony Kochevar shares with us some images of his IJN Myoko, a heavy cruiser with the Imperial Japanese Navy during World War 2 and scuttled in 1946. This model is finished in her late war camouflage scheme, the ship was a “what if” as at this point in the war as the stern did not exist, having been blown off by a torpedo before this paint scheme was applied. Anthony did not have the heart to model it with this extensive damage. This is Fujimi’s kit with a comprehensive PE set right in the box. Several other generic PE sets and scratch building materials were used to make the model and Finemolds aftermarket sets used for the Type 96 Triple and double barrel AA.
