1⁄250Dutch Warship Delft

After more than 5 years I finished this model. It was not an every day work but it took me a lot of working hours. It shows the 18th century Dutch Ship "Delft".
I tried to copy the period paint showing Delft in the last battle against a british ship.
Total length of the model is around 20cm (8 inches) in 1:300 scale. The model is entirely scratch built on pear wood. I had to make my own tools for carvings. I didn't paint it just to show the wood carvings; the gold paint can cover a fake ornaments made of putty or metal wire or anything else.
The rigging is made of 3 or 6 or 9... ,and so on, twisted thin synthetic wires.
