This model was the second one from a pair of cruise ships that were built to order . The first was the Aida Luna ( I have already posted it). The Queen Mary 2 by Revell it is a demanding model like all the cruise ships. But in this model we come up against his size! 85 cm his length and 550 plastic pieces! The length of the base is 1,14 m! I was asked to present this in a display show case. The hull was painted using Humbrol acrylics spray.The decks and all the other parts was painted with Vallejo. The sea was formed using clay and was painted with acrylics, and oils for the highlights.

What a challenge it must be to paint all the white areas with all the stark and dark contrasts. Words like "immaculate" and "stunning" come to mind. The water is just right, evoking a sense of serenity. Beautiful model and presentation.
