HMS Repulse

  • move
This is Trumpeter's 1/350th scale HMS Repulse as she was in 1941. Chris has tried very hard to get all the details correct, but rivet counters will recognize two or three small things that he was unable to correct as he realized their presence only near the end. Chris was grateful for all the help from the forums; as usual, the advice was invaluable and much appreciated. For the most part, he used the Kagero book as a reference outside of the forum. Regardless, Chris is really happy with this build and satisfied with it's level of accuracy for the most part. Chris used Flyhawk and White Ensign etch for this and did quite a bit of scratch building and adjusting. Chris also used North Star, Eduard, Gold Medal, and some Tamiya scraps as well.

Fantastic build Chris!! Water and weathering look really great, too. I am using your feature as inspiration and help for my last steps on this kit, even though I'm doing full hull.
