Who says a kit needs to be new in order to end up with a fantastic build? Anthony Kochevar shows off his 1/700 Tamiya IJN Yahagi he built. Reportedly this is a very old kit! But with a small amount of scratch building and a few additions from SS-Models and a few other smaller photo etch offerings form the land of Ebay, Anthony has brought this model right into the playing field with some newer releases.

Wow! Stunning work. I have this kit to build and I'll be happy with a result half as good as that. Are the aircraft canopies etch?

This is a stunning showing of what can be done with and old kit and a few bobbles off of ebay. Stephen, it looks that way, there is a good shot of the PE in picture #4!
