1⁄700USS Ward

Basilios Giehos launches another ocean-going diorama from his bench. This time the USS Ward tackles some heavy seas in 1/700 scale.
I really squeezed my participation in the IPMS Scale Model World with my schedule; between my build commissions and my other models. From the list of models, is the USS Ward from Flyhawk Model in 1/700 scale.
I must say that this small model kit from Flyhawk Model is really outstanding! I looking forward to built the next model from Flyhawk Model. I chose to reconstruct the rear mast from brass rods, given the fact that the plastic ones were very thin and at risk for breaking during rigging. The funnel cups were built by photo etched parts from spares box, as well. The antenna and the general rigging were made using the Rig That Thing rigging line from Uschi van der Rosten.
Model Shipwrights would like to thank Basilios Giehos for providing this feature of his 1/700 scale USS Ward!

Stunning work as always, Basilios! How about a little tutorial on how you make your wonderful oceans?

I second that request!
And thanks for giving us a chance to see the Flyhawk kit assembled and finished.

Thank you all for your comments. One of my forthcoming constructions should be presented in detail, far as the sea is concerned.
