S.S. Lorrie Ann
It may seem funny to maritime modelers that some of the grander ship models are made for the model railroad community. Some are kits. Some are scratchbuilt.S.S. Lorrie Ann is a scratchbuilt HO (1/87) ore ship of the Houseman Lines. The model is approximately 300-scale feet long. S.S. Lorrie Ann was built to serve the 19 chutes of the Tidewater Coal Company.
This impressive diorama is part of the expansive waterfront portion of the grand Chicago, Denver & Pacific Railroad layout.

That's an awesome build in large 1/87. One advantage of the scale is the abundance of crew figures available for it!
