Has anyone built one of the GHQ Micronauts?
I want to do the 4 Japanese carriers at Midway sometime in the future and this would be a great way. Economical, too.

Hey Gator!
I haven't built any of these, but I did have the pleasure of seeing them up close, and talk to a modeler who produced some amazing builds with these little buggers...all the while, in that dark little corner of my mind I was rolling with laughter at the mental picture that I had created of myself actually attempting to build one of the Lilipution wonders!
The detail is amazing, and there's not many seperate parts involved in the kits...the artistry all lies upon the paint and finishing process...if you do try them out, make sure you tell us about it, mate!
Cheers,
~Gunny

Hi Kenny I have not used the GHQ product before but years ago I did have a go at the old table top wargame thing and used a product from a company here in the UK Navwar the ships are to a smaller scale 1/3000 here are a few I still have.
Fluto class Italian sub
S-boats
Lutzow in the background and an Italian WWI dreadnought
As Gunny has pointed out it is all down to the painting and as the GHQ ship are bigger should be a push over.

Not yet but I’ve been thinking of picking a few of these up for a Pearl Harbor Dio.
Let us know if you give them a try.

Hey all,
Thats soom pretty tiny stuff(you all know I won't be getting these.....lol). It's amazing what details can be put into tiny builds. The close up shots are a bit of work. I might have to buy a new lens or maybe an adapter so I can take close ups with my digital.

I use the GHQ 1/1200 Micromaut sailing ships. The detail is beautiful, and should be the same on the 1/2400 WWII ships you're interested in.
