Very nice build of a really beautiful ship.
The Vanguard was the result of a pretty clever idea of the British. Sometimes building the guns for a battleship takes as long as building the ship herself. To speed the construction of this ship the RN decided to recycle her main guns using four turrets removed from the Glorious and Courageous when they were converted into aircraft carriers. It still meant the Vanguard wasn't completed until post war, but she was built quite a bit faster than she normally was.

Thank you for your kind comments everyone, it's always appreciated.
Wood decks - The deck is the out of the box HP (oversized planking) which has been painted with WEM teak, and then scaled down with various MIG powders eg : copper rust, smoke black, and white but in very small quantity. MIG powders available from little-cars.com.
Cheers,
Peter F.
