Ahoy mates
I'm taking a break from plastic armour to do a few wooden ships, this is Sergal's President ,an English frigate from 1760?
Please be gentle with my first born
Just under three months to build,I'm quite pleased with the way shes come out ,I know there are some mistakes and some poor bits on her,but I will learn by my errors ,and try not repeat them
The instructions left a lot to be desired  ,I have a Caldercraft HM Brig Badger for my next build which is light years ahead :!: :!: :!:
I had to buy extra blocks, and change the chain plates.
Hope you like,ANY comments most welcome,

Thanks for looking

You are so humble...

Man, this makes me dig out my HMS Bounty I've had on the shelf for years (it was a gift). It has a broken keel from my many attempts at straightening it out. Wood work, in my opinion, requires more skill than styrene and you seem to have mastered it quite well! I love what you've done with it. I'm curious... what did you use for painting it? What kind of paints and tools?
Thanks!

Hi Ion
Thanks mate, get the Bounty back out ,
I used Tamiya white ,Humbrol #25 blue and Gunze Sangyo "Mr metal color" Brass, the wood was treated with Colron wood dye's,Tung oil,and Teak oil(for patio chairs!)
As for tools,i used my normal plastic stuff, scaples ,razor saws etc
Look forward to seeing your Bounty

Great work Andy your ship looks awsome, your rigging looks very neat and clean and so does the paint work, cool another wooden ship guy. What scale is it or should i ask how big is it. One more question is it a plank on bulkhead kit.

That is a really lovely piece of work. I'm getting very tempted to build one of these old beauties sometime. What sort of price did it come at?

Excellent work mate!
