I downloaded the "kit" if I can find the time, I am going to try my hand at these. I see on the website that they have a few other kitsfor free as well. Has anyone here built one of these before? I had heard of others using thin Evergreen Styrene instead of paper/cardstock. Was wondering if anyone had experience with this?
Thanks
Thanks

Hey all,
I down loaded the V 108 kit and it's coming along slowly but surely. For the bulkheads I used thin birch that I got from Hobby Lobby and I filled the openings with some dry wall spackle.

After making the Butler I started on the Admirable, but got side tracked. My method of construction with card stock is much more like what would be with sheet styrene. The only adjustments that I had to make was to allow a little more material in corners where folds are called for- not that Digital Navy has many any way. For insight on their methods of construction see the FAQ http://www.digitalnavy.com/faq/
