It's been 25 years? Good grief, I vividly remember a friend of mine and I toasting the memory of the Sheffield in a Irish pub in Orange County. When did I get old?
Every time I see this kit listed I think it's the WWII Sheffield, the one the planes going after the Bismarck attacked by mistake. "Sorry for the Kipper."

In summer 1980, I was lucky enough to see HMS Sheffield, during a port visit to Hull(the nearest port to the city of Sheffield), and I was able to get some photos of her, which I now treasure. My cousins husband was in the Shef, When she was hit by the Exocet, luckily he survived, but when I met him later, he was a changed man. His hair had gone gray, and he was shaking. Thats the effect of war.
