Thanks for that Mark.

It's good to see that, despite the lack of Aircraft Carriers, the Royal Netherlands Navy still packs a punch on the seven seas. And much of it home grown too.
I used to live in Hengelo in the Netherlands, and the offices of what is now Thale Naval (can't remember the name then of hand.. ) are along one of the main roads into the town. They had (perhaps still have?) one of the Goal Keepers mounted on the roof as a display. Local gossip had it that the gun was actually loaded, and aimed at the border... .
It was a nice sight though, a reminder that it's not just Tulips that the Dutch export...

Cheers
Henk

That is a very good looking ship. With the naval tradition the Dutch have it's good to see they are still able to build such fine ships.

Nice frigate. Some very cost effective sea power. I can see why the cruise missiles were dropped though. I don’t imagine that they will be going on any long or very distant deployments with so many systems versus such a small crew. I am sure the crew will be busy enough with all the systems this thing is packing as it is.

Actually we (read Portuguese Navy) are going to get two of these, but with armament modified with accordance to our standart (Crezeut-Loire and Phallanx CIWS systems), more changes in Com and Radars too.
Good release, Mark!

And now for the silly question: I know that there's a 1/350 scale ship of this class by Artitec from Nederlands, but in 1/700? Any?
Cheers,
Skipper
