I had read this a week or so ago. IT makes you wonder why that was not thought about from th start. It is good they have come up with a fix for the problem. The Burke class is made of steel and was supposed to be a stronger ship than the Spruance, Kidd, and Tico class ship. I know we had cracks all over our ship all the time.
Also another factor is with fewer ships in the Navy, our current fleet is seeing more at sea time than ever before. The Navy is also working on having two crews for certain ships so they can stay at sea even longer.
