Ahoy Mates!

It''s time for another fantastic MSW Campaign experience to begin, welcome to the official start off of the "No Guns Allowed" Campaign, led by Harry Abbott...if you're signed up, time to get building, if not, why not sign on and have a great campaign experience with us, build a ship model subject, and more than likely, learn a whole lot as well!?!

Just click on the link below to take you to the official campaign page, read the guidelines, click on the "enlist" button, and get busy!

Full steam ahead!!!!

And as you progress, be sure to post lots of pics of your build, and I have provided a handy link to the Official Campaign Gallery below for hosting your images...it is set up in the usual fashion, with seperate albums for "in progress" and "finished" builds...

Ahoy mates!

Last night I pulled of my BFM Hog Islander and gave it the ol' Mk.1 eyeball look-see, again. I'll have my base built by the time I get home from work. I'll go and try to match that maritime buff today at the local Hobby Lobby.

It looks like I'll have a good weekend to build. I had to go to the doctor yesterday. I've got a full blown sinus infection, surprised it took this long. Sore throat set in this morning, so no voice.

Later...a very quiet Gator

I have the hull built-up for the C3, but that is about it . I have yet to do the superstructure's and all the fiddly bits. But all that will have to wait until I return from the IPMS show in the UK.

Got to finish The Sullivans first for Leyte Gulf, which I hope to do tonight, thru Sun. I got the CG Lifeboat at the LHS. It's a very easy build, looks like. The only thing I'll need to do is sand off where the US Coast Guard is molded in raised letters on either bow, then try to make my own decals for her. The scuttles have to be drilled out, and I may want to replace the plastic canvas cover with tissue, but other than that it looks to be pretty good OOB. Should be a very fast build.

Ahoy Crew,
It's great timing since I just finished the PBR for the Riverine build last week. So now it's time to break out the plans, plastic, and knives in an attempt to pay homage to the Coast Guard crews who manned the 44' Motor Life Boats. The "Puddle Pirates" more than earn their pay, and I salute them.
Hopefully, the model will come out decent enough to convey that sentiment. Semper Paratus, Gentlemen ............................................Bruce

Rodger,

Yes, it is. Not a bad little kit, considering it's age.

I'd also like to find their USS Oregon, but nobody in town has it yet.
