Need some advice on the best PE set and resin accessories for Dragons 350 Arleigh burke also paint colors from model masters
Also what is the general consensous for bases
I plan do build full hull and place the ship on brass rod
lenght from base to hull???? and size Diam. of rod
sould the base be longer than over all hull and by how much or shorter??/

I would check out Tom's Modelworks, Gold Medal Models, and White Ensign Models, respectively...

Take a look at your instruction sheet, and listed should be Testors MM numbers like these...(DML's U.S.S. Monterey (CG-61) sheet image used)



The numbers in the shaded area are Testors Model Master paint numbers...sorry mate, I don't have access to your specific kit instruction sheet at this time...

The base is an important part of the build, IMHO, and a great base really makes a great model shine...take a look around the site here in the gallery and features section for a good amount of base examples...they can be all wood, wood with brass uprights, or the kit supplied base...all your call, mate!

If you check your local home improvement store in the lighting section, they should have something called a shade riser that makes an excellent pedestal for full hull ships.
