Just got my newsletter from GMWS and ordered mine.
Got to be better than the old 1/125 kit.
Have the VIID and it's a really nice kit, so this one should finally be a good one.
Happy New Year to all of you!

FedEx just arrived from Great Models WS with the new VIIC.
She's a really nice kit.
Haven't compared it to the VIID but the molding is really crisp and clean.
Comes with schemes fro 5 different boats - U96, U201, U204, U251, U617 and a plain version.
Well worth the money.
A great addition to the sub kits avalable.

Gary, Is correct when he says the molds are crisp and clean, it appears to be a simple modification of the VIID moldings and should build up nicely if that is the case, I have started assembly of one of the VIID`s in my hoard and it is going together well.

Just one point, I was discussing the decal options with a good friend of mine and it appears that out of the box you will not be able to portray U-617 as I understand that this boat had an enlarged "Winter Garden", this boat is shown in the Warship Pictorial (Think that is number 27) again I think it is picture 48 or 49,

It's ashame that ROG would make such a simple error.
Anyway, I'm sure it will build into a very nice display, add a little PE and she should really be a fine one.

Revell's new sub kits are very nice to build. This is a down scaled version of the 1/72 kit which was nice to build.
