Here's my entry into the 'Forgotten Sisters' campaign. The Aoshima kit is the new tooling kit #122. The Flyhawk P.E. set is very impressive, some of the best P.E. in 700th scale I've come across. The Voyager resin turrets with brass barrels need to be seen to be appreciated, highly detailed. The 12.7cm turned barrels both long and short should cover the casemate guns and the AA guns. I need to speed up my building if I plan on completing this model in time.

Hi Rui,

I'm scheduled to work away from home for the next month or so. Taking the 350th Nagato with me is out of the question!! I'll take the Yamashiro and hopefully work on her a bit faster than my Nagato!

It's nice concentrating on ships. In the past I used to get bogged down with an aircraft here and a tank there, now modeling strictly ships, I can focus, and have no fear that I'll leave a project unfinished.

That is something that I have though several times, but always get scared of - with the exception of "my Ol'Navy Days" when I built a Airfix 1/72 Vosper MTB while on a "cruise" of four months in the Azores It is definitely my ship model with the most Nautical Miles under the belt
On the other hand I have "faster" models (like 900 km/h - those that travelled to Telford)
Keep us posted please, and good luck on your assignment

Hi Frank

Sorry for the late reply, I've been away from home for a few weeks.

The Yamashiro has taken a back seat to the Nagato. I figure I'll be more productive if I stay focused on one ship at a time. It's tempting to start building her,... must resist..... must focus....

I'd have to agree with Martin but we'll be waiting for up dates on the Yamashiro.
