hello all,
since i have started back modeling,i have had some problems with what to put the model on when painting it.if you used the stands provided,it is hard to do any touch up on the hull.if you make your own, the same problem. so i bought a large set of Lego building blocks. with the Lego's you can make a temporary stand as tall as you want and as wide as you want.you can also put them across to make a holder to turn the model upside down, for touch up work.i have also used them for modeling Planes and Tanks. for about $20 bucks ,i now can have 3-4 models either waiting for the paint to dry or ready for paint.it you build it up it makes a nice high stand for to see the model easier.of course Miss Mary says i am just going through my second childhood,no using them for my models.
cheers,
Bruce

hello Kenny,
well if you get caught playing with your son's blocks, you can always say you are using them for your models. love the pun you are using to sign off.

Bruce
