The second ship to come out of the yard this year is this oldie,Arfix E- Boat.Got the kit secondhand from a freind at local modelclub and the kids swiped it and wraped it for xmas.Like i said oldie and it shows huge gates on the sprues making it difficult to remove parts some parts damaged or lost after getting launched into the air because of this also.Have had to source parts elsewhere for some. But it seams to be getting there a little bit at a time, putting it in to a dockside dio but not quite sure what to put on the dockside just yet any suggestions welcome.

Ahoy Keith

Your effort looks great.

In all honesty far superior to my one see the Official Military Small Craft Campaign.

Ideas for the dockside - 1/72 Opel Blitz delivering supplies and some 1/72 figures (CMK or Revell)

Cheers

Looking good so far. A few suggestions for the dock.

Ammunition crates
Crates of any kind

Fuel drums and oil cans
Fuel Pumping equipment
Food stuffs
Dockside fenders

dock cleats for tying the boat up to the dock
Tools and tool boxes
Engine parts
Spare gun barrels.
Torpedo cart (with or without a torpedo)

Ouch!

You used the depth charges?!!! And the racks?!!!

They are realy bogus.

It was 40+ years ago when that mold was made,

And someone at Airfix was into the single malt.

Keith,
Putting the Revell S-Boat alongside the Airfix one would show a good contrast. But I'm not sure if any of the early (Airfix) type boats were still in service when the Revell type got operational.
Or, you could try putting some allied equipment and vehicles/boats around and have a 'Just Been Captured' dio.
Please post some pics when your done.

Andy did not know depth charges where false, but i think they make the boat more mean looking.

After a weekend of bad wheather had plenty of time to do some more of the boat and dio.Mainly rigging up of some lamps for the dockside and a hut and more painting done. Unfortunatly will have to do some repairs to the aft railings on the boat they got snagged on my sleve wile rigging the boat not to bad though that super glue is good stuff.

Hope to get some more done shortly any comments welcome or suggestions for dio

Pictures are a little dark, but you are giving me ideas if I ever get a chance at building mine.

You've done a very good job!

Yes i like that cam pattern but was told that only the later boats such as revells would only have had those markins.Sorry about the darkness on pics but will have to set up some more lights in garage for taking them at night.Still could bee a night raide
