During the Aleutian campaign, the light cruisers Tama, Kiso and Abukuma where all given a camouflage scheme consisting of white patches over the standard gray. I'm trying to find if any other ships where given this same treatment. In specific, the carriers Ryujo and Junyo.

Hi Frank

Model Art Special Warship Magazine nš27 deals specifically with the Aleutian Operation, Komandorski Island Battle and Kiska Evacuation...
All the vessels you ask are described and neither Ryujo or Junyo have white splotches...
They are portrayed in their "only" grey guise - try to get this magazine! Although mainly japanese written, the photos and plans are well worthwhile the money.

Hope this helps

Thanks Rui,

I'll add this to my next order.

Does the magazine have any illustrations on the Abukuma CL?

Not this one...
The Abukuma only has a built story for a couple of pages.
For plans try number 13 (5500 tons light cruisers) issue.
It has all the 5500 toners described
