Two weeks ago, I purchased the Osprey "USN Carriers vs IJN Carriers" book at a contest. While look through the book, I found an interesting photo for those who like to build early war, 1942, IJN carriers.

Here is a photo of the Zuikaku from 1942. If you notice, the cockpits of the aircraft spotted on deck have been covered with canvas to shade and keep the heat out.

That is interesting. Then sitting in the shade are the air crew members.
