Well, I started out mostly hanging out on the Armor boards but slowly I started to come over here and talk. Then Mark (Gunny) sucked me in.

Seriously, I enjoy ship building, and since I have some salt water in my veins, ships are just hard to get away from.

Blowing the layers of dust off this one, time to get back into building. I would make excuses for my lack of work, but I was just being plain old lazy. So with that said here is some progress I made last night.

I started to work on the business end of the Scott, her Mk 26 launchers, Harpoon launchers, and CWIS mounts. Added some more PE pieces and found out one piece of PE I had put on earlier is MIA.

I hope to be working on her each night and keep moving along. I noticed some more doors that are missing from the kit, so I need to add this. If I can find the doors I bought.

The weapons, ECM pods, and chaff launchers are from Veteran Models. They are a 200% improvement over the kits parts. However the resin is very brittle on my parts, so be careful if you use their stuff.

It has been a while since I have posted any progress on the Scott, so here is an update. This is my first 350 ship since 1990 that I have built. It is also the first one I have done the PE for. I did some PE on an armor build and it drove me nuts. I thought this would do the same, but it has actually been a dream.

I started to install the railings this week. They have been fairly easy to work with. I will say that they have also been the long straight runs. My technique of using super glue and Gator glue at different points works well and I am pleased with the results.

There are a couple places I am scratching my head about, but I will fix those. I did break the last barrel off of the Veteran models replacement 5” mounts and the very front mask was broken at some point. So, those will have to be fixed. I am on target to get this done by the end of January.

An update with pictures will follow when I get a few minutes.
