Can anyone recommend a good source for researching the colors of Japanese warships in WW II? I just got the new Aoshima 1/350 Atago and look forward to the build. (I also have a Nichimo 1/200 Akizuki DD I want to build some time down the road.) Any help would be appreciated.

hello John,
i messed up,white ensign has the best paint for IJN ships they also carry some of the best PE kits for IJN ships.also toms model works for PE sets, which i think is the same level as white ensign sets.
sorry i thought you wanted paint, not color charts.
cheers,
Bruce

Don't forget that I've compiled a booklet showing which gray a particular ship wore at any given time, covering most of the ships of the Japanese fleet. You'll find it available on our website.
