Hi there
I have an idea for a man-o-war style (so about 1800 period napoleonic) diorama but i'm having great difficulty finding figures to get me started.
I need British and French sailors and marines around 1/35 scale.
I may also need cannons but people are the most important bit.
Where can I find these things?
Hope you can help!

Hi Dan
First of all, Welcome to MSW
And now to your question: Have you tried http://www.historexagents.co.uk/ and check the Historex maker?
They are in 54mm (1/32) but it can help you in your project... There aren't many makers that make figurines in this scale/period.
Hope this helps
Rui

yeah did have a quick glance. it just seems like 54mm would cost me a large amount considering the number of people wanted. do they sell plastic/resin sets anywhere?

Ahoy, Dan,
As Rui has stated, mate, there's not a whole lot available in 1/35 in this era...Meteor Productions used to carry some selections, but unfortunately, have recently gone out of business...there is one outlet for soft plastic, toy soldier type figures in this era that may be of some help...
A Call To Arms
Good luck with your search!

Dan,
Historex figurines are styrene - and they also sell sets with torsos, legs, arms and heads - this could be easier and better than scratchbuild your figurines (another thought!!)
