I was watching history channel this evening topic being caligulas ships that where retrieved from an Italian lake and brought on land to restore,this being done by Mussolini...very interesting! the Nazis destroyed the ships and the museum on their retreat.What a model that would make if it where to become available, many innovations on these ships, ball bearings predateing Da Vinci's idea by 1500 years

I saw that show a while ago, too. It was interesting. You know one thing I will never understand about the Nazis (ok, there are a lot, but this one relates to this thread), is that when they were retreating they destroyed a lot of artwork & antiquiteis. It's like they got spiteful and were "If I can't have it, then neither can you."

I had seen this one as well. It is sad when treasures such as this are lost like that. But, it was a rather interesting boat.

they seem to have most info on what the ship (boat) looked like so maybe a manufacturer could produce a model.
