Thanks guys - but the compliments should be to all that finished the campaign and also that this could serve as an incentive for other to finish their projects!
Kind of
Also, I should point out a desperate need of a future feature regarding photographing your (ship) models!
From what I could see, there were good models in the finished gallery, like Bruce Coast Guard Cutter Tarpon (which was also very nice photographed - I enjoyed the holding the base photos (for scale purposes!)), but others had some blurred or out of focus shots...
I personally, would like to "see more" of Hamburg Maru, the Consulation and also from the North Sea Trawler (these two, Revell Classics!!).
The trick is not to have a super camera, but knowing your camera and it's potentials - my old reflex Canon AE-1 Program is rarely used (but still keep it and all my super lenses!) but now I have a simple Canon PowerShot SD800 IS digital Elph with 7.1 mega pixels. I know it's not a professional camera but if you take good advantage of what you have, you can produce good shots, hence showing your work better
Once again Thank you to all - it was a pleasure!

All very nice builds, and congrats to skipper!
and ditto the picture-taking bit... I have "sub-contracted" that part of my hobby to my eldest daughter as she is always in posession of our Dig Cam

Skipper,
Thanks for the kind words about the Tarpon. Unfortunately there was so much wrong with that build and the water we won't go into it. But I do agree about the photos. Folks, I do not own any tremendous camera. It is an old Nikon Coolpix 2500 used in auto mode. But I have learned a little, mostly by trial and error, about the best way to get pics of the models. Granted, not perfect or professional, but this is a hobby.
I work the pics mostly to be able to share on the net on sites like this one. Once in a while one or two may go to a webzine. But the main purpose is to generate interest in modelling. So don't be afraid to experiment with photos and try different settings.
Hopefully, my next build will be an improvement over the Tarpon...we'll see. Congrats to all who participated in the build.............................Semper Fi, Bruce

Additional photos of Hamburg Maru in my 'Members Gallery' Not the best of photos I grant you but, like other correspondents, I'm looking forward to the 'How to.. Photo' article to help improve.
This was my first campaign and I really enjoyed it. Hopefully I'll be participating in future ones.
