Ahoy mates!
The US Navy has announced the name of the newest Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer. A fitting tribute to a fallen hero from the war on terror.

with all due respect to everyone's individual political alliances, I rather see new ship named for true heros than for political figures of any stature. True heroes are boundless.... Bravo Zulu.

True heros only get destroyers while politicians get the carriers.

"Only get destroyers", being an old Tin Can sailor I can say that it is fitting that destroyers are named after heroes. After all, they are the best ships in the Navy.

As the soldiers I drive say all the time, usually before they know my name is Rodger, "Roger That!" I totally agree with you about ships being names for Heroes, not politicians.
