The Penguin started her career in New London on June 09, 1944.
She served as a torpedo recovery ship and as a target vessel for USN submarine training. She also took part in salvage operations(April 1945) of a sunken German U-boat (U-853 120' down) near Block Island, RI .
Diorama Idea?

I believe it is 1/700. The item number is BFM-708 and Harry uses the scale as part of the item number.

Hello Harry,
Sounds to be a great dio. I am sure this kit is as well detailed as the ATF and Tamaroa.
I would like to order. I did not see one listed on your order page.

Told ya so, Mr. Abbott...
All kidding aside, in the big picture of available new ship kits on the market, this is one of the most unique and fresh subjects that I've seen in quite a while, H...it will be very interesting to see these kits built up and (hopefully!) some displayed here on the pages of MSW!
Keep that resin flowing!
