Hi guys,
I've got a WIP on at Armorama (between others) about my next diorama -some tiny thing i am doing just for the holidays. It's a bit of the 3d class French cruiser Protet (1896-1910).
Of course the ship passed its best
I thought i would give MSW the glamour pics of the stuff before i paint it, I hope you enjoy!
JB

Ah yes, JB, as always, a stunner scratch-build, even without the final finish...thanks for sharing this with us, my friend!
Keep us posted!

Hi Jean-Bernard,

Now that you have tantalized us with all the unpainted photos, we can hardly wait to see where you are going with all of this. What you have so far looks most excellent.

Allô Jean-Bernard

Have been following your progress, although I am being silent
I think that you have managed to get a very convincing rusty / battered old look on this portion of the Galilée!
I think that the pilot house should remain in wood color (answering to your question from MWS)... Also the water looks good, a good base for the enrichment of the scene!

I already can imagine the ship part, painted and rusted almost to only rust, with few areas with the original paint color - but still, I haven't figured out the story behind it

Also, I have to ask what happened to the Massena Project???

thanks Alan, that one should be finished soon enough

Rui i was pretty sure you spotted that one thanks for the comments -about the paint i am not really sure how I will manage yet. it makes me somewhat weird to imagine the cabin being in natural wood, so I don't know. ultimately i will do what colour matches the best with the sea

Masséna is looking pretty huge to be honest! but the 138mm gun really began to take my head, and I was beginning to make gross mistakes while working on it, so i thought wiser to let it down for the whole of the summer -I had to practise welding and new water making techniques before applying them to Masséna!
