Ahoy mates!
Well, I've just solidified that I will definitely be attending the Nat's on Friday and Saturday of the event week, and I would really like to contact as many of you guys that are also going to be there, basically, for a "face to callsign" session, MSW group photo, and just an all around BS opportunity...

Please sound off here in this thread if you're planning on being there!

Cheers!

A little off-topic, but initially I started to think on attending the event, but things turn out a little different of what I expected, so I will not be able to go!! After all it is a "little bit" away from home...
So, Mark (and other MSW members), enjoy the show, enjoy meeting and talking to the guys, have FUN and don't forget to take a photo report of the ship stuff

Cheers and GOOD SHOW TO ALL!
Rui

I have to pass this year. It is close, but I do have a previous engagement, our local Relay for Life.
It would be great to come up and see some of the crew in person and maybe even get to tour the Navy base, but not this time. You fellows have a good time there and I do not even have to mention, take lots of pictures!!

I have had several emails asking if I was going to be there.

No, sorry not this year. Maybe next.

While I can't be there, my HIJMS Kongo will. I'm entering it by proxy. So, take a gander at it while your looking at all of those fine kits.

Btw...I'm in the early planning stages to be in Ohio in 2009.

I was all set to go, but money got a little too close for comfort- it's one of those "go to Nats and eat soup for five months, or stay here and live fairly comfortably and still buy stuff" sort of things. And then as an omen solidifying my choice, three of my favorite long time local restaurants had to close because of hard economic times (another basically had to price itself out of my price range to stay afloat). Man, seeing something like that really causes you to reevaluate your priorities!

But for all who are going, please stop by the Admiralty Model Works table and talk to Pavel. He'll have our latest kit there and I tell ya, it's a doozy! How's this for a detail teaser? The kit has a bridge interior in 1/700...

Have fun, guys!

Okay gang. We are meeting at 6:30 pm on Thursday night at the entrance to the contest room for pictures and meeting each other. I'll be the goofy one on the Pirates of the Carribean shirt. Hope to see you all there!

Loose Cannon will be there in the vendor room, one of them as there are four or five this year. All the vendors are getting together Thursday night at 7:00 so drop by and get details. Check out all the new kits as several of us wait for this to unveil new products.
