Aloha everyone! For those that don't know me, I research at the national archives and post copies of some of the documents I find as web pages for others to read and use (See the link in my signature). I was at the San Francisco archives back in May with Randy Short from ShipCamouflage.Com and we came across an excellent document concerning submarine camouflage, which I have now posted here.
It will also soon be available on my main USN camouflage page, mirrored on Navsource, and probably ShipCamouflage.Com. This is a MUST READ for anyone building a mid to late war Gato, as it goes into much more detail about the painting than the instructions of any of the models I've seen do.
