Ooh, couldn't resist that Marine Corps dig there eh Jim?
We also had a few uses for the letter "B", the first one that comes to mind is "BAM" a rather uncomplimentary term for Women Marines. It also describes a lot of the equipment that was turned over to the Marine Corps during WWII from the Army, things like the Stuart Mk II tanks that were sent to the Pacific and used for stateside training, also referred to as "Mae Wests" due to their twin turret design. Just about anything that the Army or Navy didn't really want to use or issue to the general troops were sent off to the Marine Corps, the Johnson Light Machine Gun, the Reising Machine Gun, and even the F4U Corsair. But, being Marines, they adapted and overcame.

I might poke fun at Marines from time to time, but it is all in fun.
If the US is ever serious about messing with somebody all we need do is send in an Amphbious group and they calm right down.
Besides, Marines are part of the Navy, so whats not to like about them?

No worries Mate, I learned a long time ago, when things get rough, it is a Navy Corpsman that comes to save your bacon, and we do appreciate getting a lift on those luxury liners you guys steam around in from time to time. I was real happy to see one of those big Navy gray boats come pick us up a time or three.
