This is a good set for those who like to enhance or scracthbuilt his models...
I have made a few myself, and although it's not a very difficult task, the end result is a big leap against the original plastic ones. On resin models, since these parts are most of the times separate pieces, the details is better.
From what I can see from Marks review photos, the detail is very good and you'll get a good amount of assorted types, which is always a bonus.

I happen to find these little gems several month ago on the BFM site.
They really improve on most plastic kit items.
He does some 16 cargo winch set which also works well for replacement's on merchant ships.

Also available in 1/700 are these late 19th and early 20th century steam powered winches.
