Didnīt quite show up as I hoped but there they are. The dolphins are epoxy putty , the water was irregular strips of e. putty blotted over with filler putty mixed with acetone , a coating of medium grey Tamiya acrylic then Tamiya transparent blue. Not bad for my real first attempt at a ship on water. It certainly makes me proud that on my water is more convincing than the wrinkly aluminium foil that Iīve seen in modelling magazines here in Spain. All comments are welcome & I promise I wonīt turn into a rabid animal because I have used some artistic licence with the missiles & handrails.I wasnīt too impressed with the instructions or the way I had to find my own way with the distribution of the handrails.

Pretty nice presentation with the critters. Gotta luv the way they play with the bow wave on a ship.

Hi Mike
"working photos"

As for your Sheffield, it looks good, even considering it's your first ship!
I also like the water effect, but you could have added a little more white areas as you can see in the image bellow:
but don't let this turn your Naval Vein away - water effects are hard to reproduce in a convincing manner

The dolphins are a tad off scale, but we can say that they are beaked whales

Nice Job, Mike!
Since this was your first ship model, any plans for a second?...
Cheers,

That depends on the wife Mark because I think she likes the ships more than the other stuff now. Iīll maybe drop a few hints for an HMS Invincible to Santa Claus
,but is it really any good? because I will build & paint just about anything the only trouble is I just donīt know what the naval market has to offer. I did struggle a bit with the Sheffield but I think it was a fair price for what she got for the money.

Thanks for all your comments every body.Yes it is James I forgot to mention that the same boxed kit is also optional as ARA Hercules(Argentinian) & the HMS Coventry ,although the latter isnīt mentioned on the box.

Mike, thanks for the info! I ordered that kit from Lucky models some time ago, box came all smashed, so they sent me ANOTHER kit even though the first one was ok inside... was thinking of building both the HMS and ARG versions at same time some point in the future, will bookmark your build for future reference, thanks again! cheers
