MSW Crew-mate Dave Hill (DaveHill) send us his first MSW submission, a fantastic build of the USS Massachusetts after her refit in July 1944 at the Puget Sound Navy Yard, in this MSW Build Feature!

What can I say , absolutely stunning The detail is incredible , I can even see the ammo drums for the 20mm guns. Thanks for sharing this gem Bob

Beautiful build... impeccable paint job and construction... love the details, looks "clean" but also has some depth... just a great build, a bookmarlk for sure! cheers

PS Thanks for posting the AMs used in the build, very helpful for those os us "learning" the ropes!

Thanks everyone!!!!!!!...I really appreciate all the comments!!!!!...I really liked this kit and it was alot of fun to work on...I'm really astonished not to see any other builds of this fine ship considering how long this kit has been on the market.

Wow! Your detail and dedication are superb! I was also reading thru your WIP. You have done her just right - the research and cleverness and craftsmanship. She's close to my heart because I'm originally from MA, and have toured her twice at Battleship Cove, Fall River (along with Lionfish - 3 times, sorry, she's a sub!). What struck me was she's HUUUGE (for a kid's POV), but still not as big as some...that in itself was wow, along with those turrets.

Your work is again, just right. I'm sure you're proud, she's a thing of beauty. And as someone said, are you sure she's not 1/96th? the detail!
