i got the Trumpeter Kit Jeremiah O'Brien at my LHS and i am wondering if anyone has built this kit.i am looking to see what problems the kit has, what extras you used(PE,Resin AM's,etc.)and what i need to do to backdate the kit for the era 1942-43.
thanks for any help.
cheers,
Bruce
i am going to try to get the Civil War Campaign together and submit it this weekend,i hope.

Hi Bruce!
I've got the kit in the slipway as well, my friend, but I'm going to add a different twist to the build...I'm building the vessel as the SS Lombard (one of my favorite hollywood classics!), which amongst Liberty Ships, there's not a whole lot of variance in design, so I won't have to make any major adjustments in the build...I have seen some of the kits popping up built and looking really sweet, and I'm looking forward to cracking into mine soon!
Cheers,
~Gunny

Bruce,
There is a very nice set of plans available from McCandliss Engineering, which would be of great help with the build.

Greetings All.
I have finished the O'Brien OOB , but having built the Tamiya TIrpitz and used the Eduard PE set I now have another O'Brien and the Eduard PE set for it. Not sure when I will get to it but it shouldn't be too much longer.. Famous last words?
