Hi Rui,
It's nice to see that the hobby is obviously alive and well in your part of the world. Some mighty fine looking little ships there representing all ages. I especially liked the boat builders' shop diorama, I hope that his door was wide enough to take it outside after he got it finished (the voice of experience speaking)

Of course, so, did you win any? That diorama of yours should have gotten some metal of some sort. It certainly stands out well enough.

Hi guys!
Sorry - being busy on this end on the Atlantic
Thanks for the compliments on the photos, but I just shot them and have only entered one dio!
I have won.... nothing!
It's hard to compete with a 1/700 sub in a category "Military Dioramas - All scales". *1
But the balance was highly positive: Got the chance to be with guys that I haven't seen since the beginning of the year, met some new guys in the ship modeling area, bought a couple 700th bargain ships (I was reaaaaally needing them) - Prinz Eugen and Ryujio and a few Aber brass barrels!
I liked being on a model contest without the stress of being Judge or part of the Organization!
We had our club stand (AMA), we had the WarShip SIG Stand and a lot of shops to go and talk to the guys (and gals), browsing and talking, having a good time!
This time I didn't bring any "metal", but left there some paper

Next: Telford!
Cheers,
Rui
*1 - Yes, it's my SSGN K-186 Omsk diorama

 Ah, Jean-Bernard!
You are raising the bar way toooooo much!

It didn't bother me not winning - we can't win every time, and it would be ridiculous to have a category "Naval Military Dioramas All Scales" with... one contender!
It was a fun weekend, and that's the most important aspect. This and what I have said before about getting together with a lot of good guys, made it worth.
Filipe,
You and your secrets....

We have to unveil those - and start posting your progresses here too

Cheers,

 Rui

When I write "be with the guys!" it should be read as "drink lots of beer!"

Glad you grabbed you CVE again
