well i have decided to start building model ships again as well my ? is i,m building a 1:196 scale of the uss constitution by revell whats the best or easiest way to do the rigging of that ship ,while not either pulling the string too tight or leaving it too loose

One of the tips I'd suggest to help with the rigging, is to get a block of beeswax and pull the various threads over the block to coat them all around with the wax. It does tend to make the lines a bit stiff, but this often helps in getting knots tied. The other big thing this does with most thread is to keep it from looking "fuzzy" as well as keeping it from being too loose.

I did the old Kearsarge a long time ago and was able to get all the standing and running lines in place and tighten them up fairly well without breaking any of the spars.
