One of the few advantages to my current work stint away from home is finding used book stores. Today as I drove over 900km, I came across a used bookstore in the middle of nowhere (200km north of North Bay) They have a massive warehouse full of old books and a very useful computer to guide you along. I found the following couple of titles...
Guns in Paradise, by Fred McClement (1968) A 270pg hard cover detailing the exploits of the SMS Emden and her crew.
The Ship That Changed The World, The Escape of the Goeben to the Dardanelles in 1914, by Dan van der Vat (1985) 250pg account of the most influential ship in the first world war.
I look forward to getting some free time to enjoy these two.
Frank

Wow, you never know what you will find.
The book on the Emden sounds like an interesting one.
Enjoy!

Hi Frank!
Find the free time, read the Emden book, inspire yourself and attack the model (when it's due time)
This will surely improve the building atmosphere

I have the Emden kit (350th Revell) and will search for a dedicated PE set. The Goeben should still be available in resin, it'll be on my next on line order next time I'm home.

P.S. I'm currently reading Castles of Steel by Robert K. Massie and will second Kenny's comments. The book is a must read for any naval enthusiast, if you've neglected the first world war (as I had) you will be captivated by it and most importantly, motivated to build. In addition to these latest purchases, I'm also reading Coronel and the Falklands by Geoffrey Bennett. I've plenty of time for reading these days!
