Hey gang, Scott has posted some really great videos from the show. Going a little in reverse, here's the latest, with a very nice look at the Akagi and PE...

The second contains shots of the Haruna and Shokaku (and 1/700 RC table top Yamato):

Finally, this part has shots of Aoshima's Kirishima (and 1/350 version of the Gohten-Go I'm building for Hollywood At Sea Campaign), and Trumpeter's stuff (Repulse, Udeloy II, Burke, Eugen).

Enjoy and thanks to Scott Hards for posting these on YouTube!

Interesting to here the pronunciation of the Japanese manufacturers. Sounds somewhat different when an ole' cajun says it.

Hey Kenny,

Funny you mention that- I pronounce the manufacturer names (and ship names for that matter) in the Japanese way (TAH-me-ya, OW-shi-ma, YAH-ma-to, AH-ka-gi, etc.), and people often have no idea what I'm talking about here in the States.

The one that always throws people is the Akizuki. It's pronounced AH-KEEZ-kee. But most westerners think it's Ah-kee-zoo-kee. Some times, I'll call Tamiya "Ta-MY-ya" like I did in childhood. I had a guy "correct" me with "teh-ME-ya", to which I had to correct HIM with "TAH-me-ya".

Names being what ever way you care to pronounce them, where ever you hail from, some pretty cool stuff.

Now if I could just find one of those .45 Autos that did that for real, I'd be set. Somehow I don't think that cute lil' darlin' would be handling a real one that easily tho'.
